That column literally just documents that NR has published a variety of points of view on Trump as it did on Nixon. Unlike the circle-the-wagons approach the Left took with Clinton.

I am honestly not clear on what you mean here, Dan ... the column is 3/4 about the variety of coverage re: Nixon and only 1/4 is about Trump. Final few paragraphs summarize NRO coverage (and the article is from Sept. 27) and I don't see much variety there.

I see one mention of Never Trumpers and a line about George Will leaving. Am genuinely not clear on what you mean, but I guess I am missing something? The column is really more like 75% about Nixon and 25% about Trump coverage, the more I look at it.

That's my point. I don't see what the column proves at all except for the existence of longstanding internal debates over what to do with misbehaving leaders - debates that get quite heated on the Right, but that just don't happen on the Left.
