I'd love to either write or read a study of bad Presidential leadership and why the worst Presidents failed so horribly at their job. Not controversial Presidents like LBJ or Jackson. I'm talking about consensus terrible Presidents like Pierce, Buchanan, and A. Johnson.
I assume from other things describing it that it is partisan but very in depth.

That's what I've gotten from it. It's why I'm leery of it

My bigger issue is that it is freaking expensive.

Side note, but on the subject of rehabilitations, I think Ben Harrison is long overdue if Grant is getting it. Harrison tried to do the same things, with less success because Congress was more obstinate.

The dedicated NH lovers among the Granite Staters really have tried their darnedest to rehabilitate Pierce to be more or less an average President. I think their arguments are worth examining, but I don't agree with them. PA-ers barely touch Buchanan.

It's just like how Georgians of all political stripes except for the most partisan conservatives love Jimmy Carter and have tried to make him less bad a President than he was.
-
Jimmy was the best President in my lifetime by far. Nobody has tried to make him less bad a president because he was pretty good.
