I will be very, very surprised if Joe Biden is the nominee & his VP pick is not a (current or former) Senator. Biden's just more at home with Senators. He's like the Senate equivalent of a boy raised by wolves.https://twitter.com/jbarro/status/1204861869347000323 …

That said, in the (not so unlikely) event of a brokered convention, Biden may not necessarily get the VP pick of his choice.

That's why Harris makes sense despite the stumbles. Also, would be replaced by a Dem in a very safe state.

Tammy Baldwin would make sense too for several reasons, but not for other reasons.

She’s not a particularly dynamic campaigner. Does great in Wisconsin but there’s a reason she hasn’t burst out of the gates as a star surrogate.

Yeah, true. So then, among other things, you have to calculate if she’s worth 1% in WI—the most marginal of edges, allowing for the poli sci research re veep nominees/home states. If you think she is, that could win the election.

Thing nobody talks about: Ryan helping in WI. GOP ticket got 1.4 million more votes in WI with Paul Ryan on the ticket than with McCain-Palin, & Romney-Ryan got more votes in WI than Trump-Pence did.
