And if we litmus-tested him out of leadership over some of the things he did & said before 1858, or some of the people he courted or endorsed, we'd never have had him as the leader who could do that.

Who’s we? Some journalists? This is a category mistake. We get paid to comment on things as we see them, openly and honestly — not to win elections. That’s a different job entirely.

If I'm missing a significantly divergent set of takes more favorable to Haley & other Republicans in her position, I'm listening. One can only judge a publication's editorial line by the overall body of what is published, & whether it takes a consistent posture.

Well, leaving aside the fact that it employs internet trolls who have personally attacked & smeared me for years - I try to judge the rest of the publication separately from that - I'm commenting on what I think to be a dead-end approach to the path forward for conservatives.
