Also, I'm not sure why they sent that Tweet with that headline, since the story is from 2018 & about a study of women in Denmark focusing on women's earnings correlating to how much their mothers worked & earned outside the home.

Of course, if you actually want to study this question, you should study *household* earnings, not just the woman's take-home pay. Many studies show men earn more when they have kids. When you're married, the money all goes one place.

Without the data in front of me, I'm pretty sure women who marry & have children are likelier to have higher household incomes than women who do not marry or have children (so long as the parents stay married, of course).

Studies pretty commonly show that marriage is the best anti-poverty program for women.

Easy there. They're just trying to make all the single, childless feminists over 45 a little less miserable about the inevitable result of their life choices...

The difference between cost and value. What is the difference between the ROI of an account v. ROI of a child + ROI of a grandchild + ROI of in-laws?

The real point is it is only a penalty for women. Seems like we should fix that. Right?

Married men make more than everyone else. Generally everyone else makes about the same. Perhaps there's a matter of motivation to provide for those at home, which often shows married women making more than single men & women during the years it's most common to have children.pic.twitter.com/E1TZvcBBdL
