Saw his concert at ACL a year ago and he was amazing.

Yeah, I saw him for the first time last fall. Wonderful show. His enthusiasm for performing at his age, with nothing to prove, is really remarkable.

I was thinking this as the NFL Network was showing Superbowl XXXIX yesterday. McCartney played the halftime show and I was thinking he surely was returned by now

Retired, not returned. Seems my autocorrect has gone Freudian on me

Saw him in Atlanta in 1990 and it's still one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

Yup. This was still true decades ago. Saw him perform 2012-13, and he was great. Not quite at the same level as the Stones (for me), but still great

To be fair, not just any festival but Glastonbury. 200,000 festival goers, 50th anniversary next year. I saw him in ‘76 with Wings in a 1500 seater. Bloody marvellous.

I’ve seen him 3 times..once in Albany, twice in Jersey, he DOES NOT perform like you would expect a man in his late 70s. It’s really remarkable how good he still is. And the song to John is a tearjerker every time.

He has always enjoyed performing & was not happy when the Beatles became a studio band.
