I agree it’s terrible, but her team should’ve been able to get creative. I mean U2 didn’t own their masters until 2014 and live nation financed the purchase of them, so you’d think she could’ve bought big machines catalog with an investor

No. He would only let her have them if she signed another 6 record contract and “earned” back her music one record at a time. He did not offer it to her for money.

Going to guess it has been a long time since Taylor wrote a song. She became succesful after Scooter put her together with Max Martin and Antanof. She has the writing credits, but I doubt she wrote a word.
