The one thing I'd add to that @michaelbd column is that the Epstein story is a perfect storm of paranoia. He had potential dirt on heads of both parties, the British royals, the business & legal elite. Everyone on earth predicted he might die in prison, swiftly. Then it happens.

Imagine if we had Twitter in 1963 & basically everyone was like "somebody's gonna kill JFK in Dallas, maybe the Mafia, maybe the Commies, maybe the CIA, maybe LBJ" and then it happens. That's the Epstein situation.

A rational person should conclude that Epstein probably just killed himself. But even the most rational person must, at some level, wonder if there is more to this story, out of the sheer volume of humanity's experience with things that call for cynicism.
