Like the old joke about the airplane that's all black box, the Gettysburg Address is - with the possible exception of Lincoln's Second Inaugural - the only speech that's all soundbite.

Just as Tweeting can help discipline you as a writer to be concise, you could argue that Lincoln's writing got more crisp & to the point after 1862 once he got in the habit of composing for the telegraph.
