3. Third, Beto's loudest amen corner was the Obama Bro crowd, which has been notably vicious about kicking political foes when down. And the people they hate most & kick nastiest are the Ryan/Rubio style Republicans, precisely for not being mean, crude or ignorant.

I concede completely he went off the rails with his “taking away tax exemption for churches who don’t perform gay weddings.” I openly and strongly disagreed with that. Not sure what happened there with him though his campaign later clarified that he wasn’t going after churches.

But the fact that he said it should still be concerning. I had considered voting for him probably up to around that point but also had issues with his mandatory buyback program. Wouldn’t be practical on several levels... but...
