I've never heard "latinx", and certainly not in any spanish speaking communities, so I'm still skeptical this is really a thing. I've only seen the term online, usually from white, english speaking SJWs.

Imagine the hubris of those behind these movements willing to dictate norms in a language they usually aren't even native to, for their own ideological purposes. As much as SJWs loathe "neo-colonialism", they seem to be fine practicing it if it's for their cause.
