This is indistinguishable from the logic of terrorism.
We do not live in a totalitarian state with no representative institutions. I mean, I'm against armed revolt in most situations, but there is a time & a place for taking up arms & having a revolution.

Me too! I agree. But there are going to be ideological disagreements about when even ostensibly small d democratic societies might compel a more militant response. In London, we’re still in the idstruction, but not violent phase.

So the real difference with, say MLK CD is that the cause, to some, won’t seem to merit even non violent cd. Too abstract, perhaps. Other will disagree though. But it remains non violent.

I’ll go further: to me, as somebody who used to do campaigns involving a wide variety of tactics, I think the cause is just, but the connection with the those affected—those on the train—is too distant for the tactic to be effective. So I wouldn’t green light it.
