It doesn’t work for an enormous issue requiring great political/economic change. When it works, the logic is to get the affected public to urge relevant elites to fix a discrete problem.
Yes. I was fine with Tea Party protests & demanding to be heard at constitutent meetings, but not with interfering with others by shutting down meetings.

Ok—I’m fne w/that too, as you describe it. But many others thought shutting down the meeting was ok in the name of greater good. But back to London: as described, we have non violent civil disobedience—which is indeed inconvenient. So some other distinction must be asserted.
