THIS is what I think is most important. They were shelling our positions, not to mention our allies. I think it's past time for us to figure out how to give them the boot. Or at least hold the threat of it over Erdogan's head for a guarantee of better behavior.

Another chickenhawk for war with Turkey, a nation of 80 million. What absolute insanity.

They know our locations and can avoid us. That’s why our men can’t serve as “shields.” Instead, I see too many people wanting to use our men as bait for a war that Congress won’t authorize!

We're not "playing ostrich". This is what Trump wants and this is what we're going to get.

What does that mean? We have a right to do what? The only right that matters is might. So unless we're prepared to go to war with Turkey, I'd say the proper path is to extricate ourselves from the situation. This is exactly why many didn't want to put troops in Syria originally.

People need to realize, NATO won't do crap.

Erdogan will open the migrant floodgates of NATO does such a thing. Keeping 3.6 million Syrians out of Europe is far more important for us than the fate of the Kurds. Erdogan holds all the cards here and the Kurds have nothing to give us in exchange.
