Maybe Felix Hernandez could have reinvented himself as a reliever a few years ago when the wheels started coming off, but I have to assume it's too late now for that to be more than a stopgap way of earning a few more checks.

2007, 2009, & 2014 were the only years in Felix Hernandez' twenties when the team was playing for anything, so there's an argument that they could have laid off him more in 2006 & 2008 in particular, with the team going nowhere.

The biggest thing I'd have done differently would've been firing Bavasi earlier and wasting fewer prime Felix years with Horacio Ramirez and Rick White.
