Biden has his own risks, as is obvious. His age means he might just crater and leave the Democrats in the lurch. But I have little doubt that, in a general election, the median Biden outcome is stronger than the median Warren outcome.

Biden at least appears moderate and conciliatory to the other side. That has appeal to disaffected suburban voters who may not like Trump but aren’t ready to embrace the “Squad” and “Green New Deal.”
