How many democracies have statues dedicated to the honor of their enemies who spilled the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriotic Americans? Enemies who betrayed their own countrymen at that?

We should eventually tear down statues of everyone, human progress marches on and many monuments to those who committed injustice don’t belong anymore. Washington is a clear example of that, he owned slaves.

Better argument: We shouldn't honor people with public monuments if they literally go to war *against* the United States.

Did you cheer when Statues of Stalin, Lenin, Tito, or Marx were torn down at the end of the Cold War? I think confederate statues are closer to that group than they are to quasi-fictional Buddhist statues

Does WP understand that the biblical standard being applied at this particular disfavored group, also applies to every other statue and piece of art in the world?
