It's inevitable. My mother-in-law, who lives with us, was 5 when Pearl Harbor happened, so she remembers but not as well as my dad did, or my father-in-law, who served in the war.

Interestingly, I asked my intro to international relations class this morning about their earliest political memory (the answer for everyone used to be 9/11) and the most common answer was bin Laden’s death. September 11th is history to them. Soon, the aftermath will be too.
