I was once tempted to file a pleading captioned "Motion to Rule." Cooler heads prevailed. If it had to be done, perhaps "Request for Disposition" is less aggressive.

I'm actually still waiting on a ruling on a counterclaim from a trial in 2007. My client "forgot" to pay his bill, so I never reminded the judge, but it's still technically pending.
