Jesus, Mary and Joseph....... “Well Chris, if the Dolphins had scored more touchdowns than the Patriots they would have won.”

touchdowns are a bad analogy for the electoral college. the current system is more like if you won games by gaining yardage but the actual points didnt matter.

Chris Hayes has said a lot of dumb things, but this might be the dumbest of them all. That's what 'constitutional' means, Chris.

Honestly read that four times and I’m still amazed a “news” anchor said this on live television as if it were some big revelation.

Oh hey look,
@baseballcrank is giving the least charitable interpretation of@chrislhayes! The point is obviously that the electoral college system *conflicts* with the democratic principles of the rest of the Constitution, rather than flowing naturally from those principles. -
That's begging the question
Madison wasn't a small-d democratic majoritarian. I don't think anyone in the Constitutional Convention was. The Constitution was written with the idea of CHECKING the TYRANNY of the Majority in mind, not affirming it as a principle. - Show replies

Whining about the electoral college won't make a difference- the Constitution is clear. We are "supposed" to live by it. Libs on the Court have already took us away from it, but this rule is solid!!! Leave it alone!!!!

None so blind as those who will not see. (or want to cheat or just desperately hang on to power)
