Honestly I think looking at which areas are red and blue on a map is a very bad way to try to approach these questions. Can you phrase the same point without the map?

Arbitrary chunks of land weighted with wildly disproportionate power via the Senate. But she dominated virtually every urban core, and many urban megaregions, even in those lofty chunks of red. Southern boomtowns, western ski resorts, midwestern (post)industrial towns etc.
