There's a similar quote often attributed to Churchill: “You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.” I could find no record of him saying it, but it's a good line. Everyone who matters, good & bad, has enemies & critics.

Josh’s point isn’t that you should have none, but that you not have a surplus. If “tons & tons” of people can’t stand you, it’s okay to stop, check your azimuth, & see if maybe, just maybe, you might be giving them a good reason.
