I'd only want to see Haley in the VP slot if Trump is out of the picture & Pence is the nominee. You can't fix any of Trump's problems by replacing Pence but leaving Trump where he is.

Since this is objectively humiliating to Pence, I can only assume Haley recognized a real threat that Trump was going to ask her or otherwise float the possibility.

What about Pence-Haley? I know it probably won’t happen - but what if Trump stepped down for second term and “handed off” to Pence, who picked Haley as VP? Does a lot of things and sets up Haley (a gov) for a 2024 run if 2020 doesn’t go well for Pence.
