In a nation of laws, defining your terms precisely - when human life begins, what is an assault rifle, who is a man or a woman, what is treason, what is climate change, what is a campaign contribution, etc - is indispensable. It's not semantics; it's what makes laws, not whims.

Same principle applies to all sides in the immigration debate. We are nowhere near the levels of immigration that would make an "invasion" of civilians crossing borders.
