It's not historically unique. New cultures have been introduced into existing societies in most countries for millennia. America is just young. Romans, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danes all came to Britain before the the turn of the first millennium.

I think the contention is that this piece--intended to explain why an unspecified "we" fears immigration--voices the white nationalist perspective on these trends. If the concern is about morals or values or economics, say that. Instead, it's about demographics and "culture."
