I think the more generous they are with providing free and obtainable IDs the more they are actually about insuring people are who they say they are and not intending to disenfranchise otherwise qualified voters.

This is correct. I challenge anyone to name a offer a legitimate objection to Voter ID laws if: 1: They are free, renewed every 5 years. 2: There is a 2-3 year grace period after the law is passed so everyone has plenty of time to get their ID.
