Yeah, I don’t get it either. There is only one Mike Trout; pretty much everyone else has their strengths and weaknesses and I don’t know that any one player can help a team all that much more than an otherwise solid MLB player. Especially position players.

You wonder if GMs will act accordingly. Betts is great but he will not get $400M. There is only one Trout. Almost all long contracts are a disaster. Free agency is not as wild as it has been.
