I continue to be surprised how little attention is given to Bill Weld and his primary challenge against Trump. People often talk like no one is primarying Trump at all.https://twitter.com/RosieGray/status/1160915541260931073 …

On a related note: As I discussed in this piece, I think there’s evidence many longtime Republicans aren’t happy with Trump and/or the GOP, and I think many people seem determined to underestimate or ignore that entirely. https://arcdigital.media/tbd-64b6e64673de …

Last observation: It’s really interesting to watch people who labeled themselves
#NeverTrump in 2016 and who rightly identified reasons Trump was unfit for the presidency now find — really, search for — reasons to not vote for *any* Republican who is open to running against him.9 replies 6 retweets 33 likesShow this thread -

He also explicitly promised he was going to be a Libertarian for good. Do I regret voting for him? No. Do I think he's an annoying self-righteous prick now? Yes. His current strategy makes him either the most oblivious person alive or he's deliberately trying to get a Dem elected

I remember in 2006 when NY Republicans tried to get Trump to run for Governor, and then he didn't but Weld got in, then Weld got crushed so bad he dropped out of the primary, then...well, we ended up with Eliot Spitzer as Governor.
