Same here. I heard a lot more of Imus, mainly because he was on WFAN and during my morning drive to the train it wasn't worth changing the Mets station.

My dad used to listen to Imus driving me to school; WFAN’s signal reached here & he’d flip between that and local sports talk.

Imus is another guy who really defied labels. He could pal around with Dole, Clinton, McCain, Lieberman, Kerry, etc and still single any and all of them whenever it suited him.
