Yeah, Trump's insistence on doubling down on the indefensible is a more legitimate criticism, compared to his predecessors, than his unwillingness to do mea culpas.

I actually think one of the most revealing moments of the Bush presidency was when Bush was asked to name his biggest mistake and he couldn't come up with one. Good leaders are constantly looking at what they did wrong and working to improve.

Obama, when asked that question, has always had an answer, and that answer has changed over the course of his Presidency. He may not have admitted the mistakes you think he should have admitted to, but he certainly was at least reflective of past decisions.
