Don't use his name. Don't publish his opinions. Whatever else we disagree on, can we at least all agree on that much?

Law enforcement & political leaders should know the sources of violence in America. So, of course, you don't totally memory-hole who commits it. But these guys should gain no publicity, no credit, no credibility. Make him a statistic.

No, we should blot their names out as well. Make them statistics on a government chart.

Except for how we're in a political environment in which Ted Cruz is trying to get "antifa" treated as terrorist organization and publicizes every time one of them breaks a window - it's relevant that it's the right wingers who are killing dozens of people.

I think it's somewhat important to have some details about the shooter People need to know what kind of person we are dealing with, warning signs, common triggers etc.

I feel like when we don’t report the name, it just becomes about guns. I think the more we know about these people the more we can learn to identify similars. I think the notoriety thing just beside the point.

This is exactly correct. By not identifying the killer, you playing to the leftist narrative that claims “guns” kill. This makes the murders impersonal, and therefore easier to blame on the inanimate object. Don’t fall for it. @Blue2Reaganite

Of course by doing that you further desensitize people to the horror, which in turn leaders the desire for concrete political action. I say shout his name, and his manifesto, and don't stop talking about what happens at the nexus of easily available weapons and white nationalism.

"Don't talk about him or his motives" only lasts for people as long as it's politically expedient to do so.

This #NoNotoriety pledge https://twitter.com/realamymholmes/status/1157791639412379650?s=21 … would be a great start. Unfortunately to get today’s media to act responsibly on this would seem a tough job.
