Right, fine, but that isn’t Paul’s argument. Nor is it the argument of any R pol, as far as I can tell. Paul brings in this pious garbage about the deficit and debt. That’s what Josh and I are calling bs on. And you know that, so you should join us, or, at least stay silent.

Something else you can't argue with: cutting taxes without cutting spending increases the budget deficit. GOP congress voted for the tax cut but lacked the courage to simultaneously cut spending, leading directly to substantially greater deficit spending.

Note that the definition of "spending too much" is "spending more than you have." Cutting taxes => you (gov't) have less to spend, meaning now the definition of "too much" has been reduced. Thus, cutting taxes means more of your spending becomes "too much".
