And your position is that Kaepernick & Nike are similarly situated.

Dan, I said that the Yahoo article was based on tweets from unverified users. You then said “we” were having a fight over Nike and a pair of shoes that didn’t end up getting made. I asked who “we” was, and what specific protests he’d led regarding those shoes.

Did you really miss this entire story? We need to start there because it appears you did https://www.wsj.com/articles/nike-nixes-betsy-ross-flag-sneaker-after-colin-kaepernick-intervenes-11562024126 …

Dan, what does this have to do with the Yahoo article where we began?

At the risk of explaining the same obvious point for the third time, both stories involve a Founding-era American flag. Agree or disagree? I'm not sure how you will answer this.

As I’ve said repeatedly, the article we began with was based on unverified Twitter accounts. The Kaepernick/shoes brouhaha, which, again, I want to know which “we” was fighting over it, was not an article based on unverified Twitter accounts.

If you won't even answer my simple yes/no question about the first fact, I see no point in trying to explain again and again and again the other facts from which any fair observer would deduce my point.

I'd like to think of myself as a fair observer. I think a lot of times people do argue with you in bad faith, and the pile-on over the Skaggs tweet was excessive. But I'm with Jane on this one. Yes, both "arguments" involve a flag. But Kaepernick and a few randos are not the same

Well, if you accept that Kaepernick is not some rando, then you accept that my point responds to a viewpoint not confined to a few randos. Which, so far as I could tell, defeats the point Jane was trying to argue. But it was clear that we were just not going to get to that point

Again, we were discussing the Yahoo article. That’s how this began.

No, we were discussing my thread, which took the Yahoo article as one example of a story that has recurred. But that seems to be the point of contention about what my thread meant.
