I will take that as a "no, I have no intention of responding in good faith." You know I'm right, which is why you're deflecting instead. Also, is it your contention that Hillary Clinton was never in any way responsible for enabling/defending her husband's misconduct?

Your original point was a deflection. JF noted, quite correctly, that Trump's supporters would never turn on him, and you assert, incorrectly, that there has not been considerable reassessment of Clinton by many (but not all, sadly) on the left.

And I'll note -- as I have many times -- that Never Trumpism is a sham and that in all ways that matter, Republicans are lockstep behind Trump. And I suspect, likely will be, even if some even more gross stuff comes about him in this Epstein stuff.

That you are unable to conceive of people publicly lodging any sort of principled objections to their own side's conduct, when it might harm their side's interests to have them, says far more about you than about me.

I can find your tweets in which you've said you're not willing to oppose Trump's agenda because to do so would empower Democrats and hurt the GOP's domestic agenda if you'd like. There are lots of them.

In what case have you publicly opposed policies you supported, or publicly promoted policies you opposed, in order to make a point against a Democrat?

I'm not asking you to oppose policies you support or support policies you oppose. I'm asking you to support policies you have previously supported such as strong ethical oversight of the executive and limits to executive power which you've wholly abandoned since January 2017.

I'm asking you to likewise do what you'd ask Democrats to do and withdraw support of a morally and ethically compromised person like Trump. You didn't vote for it, I get it, but you've also advocated against measures to put him in check.

But you concede that you & your party's public partisans would not do so, and have not done so. Which was the entire point of my original Tweet.

I said it's unknowable as Clinton was in office 20 years ago and attitudes were very different. Anyway, let me know how you'r opposing Trump. First time for everything!

If you are really going to take the position that Bill Clinton being a serial sexual predator was not known in the 90s, good luck. If he'd been a Republican, he'd have gone the way of Bob Livingston & Bob Packwood. Republicans never did get Packwood's Senate seat back.

We know this of Trump now. Why has he not gone that way?
