Tyler Skaggs was pitching pretty well this year. Which is a small thing compared to dying at 27, but a shame for him he didn't get to finish a good season.

If that’s true, Dan — and I believe you — delete the tweet. A lot of people that respect you and are honestly doing all this because we don’t want you to look bad, are here.

No one’s against having empathy for the dead, man. It’s about not understanding that having a good season couldn’t be more irrelevant to, ya know, being dead.

As a decent person I will tell you, You’re a tone deaf as it gets. Yes you felt the sorrow for his death but you finished with a selfish comment about wanting him to finish a good season. Get off Twitter for a while.....

Dan, go back and read your tweet. It's shamefully lacking in empathy.

Sidenote here, but you lost me at "having empathy for the dead." I think you're looking for the word "sympathy." Unless, of course, you can understand and share in the feelings of what it's like to have been dead.
-
He doesn't have sympathy either

I think you mean empathy for the living, which would be his family, and I doubt they give a shit what kind of season he was having.

Hey Josh, What’s it like being incredibly stupid? Your comment makes Dan tweet look reasonable and that’s a hell of a thing.
