You’ve previously said you don’t vote for Dems (ever?), so yes the plan to become Republican so straight party line R voters have an extra option is not a high priority.

I have been a registered Democrat since Reagan. In the 2016 elections I had to register as Independent to vote for Johnson, then he didn't make it to the big stage, so I registered as a Republican to vote for Trump, because I could not in good conscience vote for Hillary.

I dunno about "supporting" in terms of volunteer work, donations, or just causal verbal advocacy, but voting against the greater evil is certainly moral obligation.

By "voters like you," do you mean, "conservatives in deep blue states?" If so, why would Dems bother? It's been 20 yrs since NY had a GOP US senator. In the 45 yrs since Rockefeller left, there's been a GOP gov. only 13 yrs. Last time NY's electoral votes went GOP was '84.

Ding ding ding. When I tell them I can't vote for Elizabeth Warren because of her policies, I'm trying to help get Trump out of office. Not be demanding.

Given how much I dislike Trump, I never thought I’d be ambivalent about 2020, but I am close.
