Wow, what cutting-edge 1930s rhetoric. What will they come up with next? Court-packing schemes?

Remind me, are state laws prohibiting child labor unconstitutional? Since you’re a fan of that court’s jurisprudence...

You give people more options, more power, they have more freedom. Period. Maybe a later administration undoes it but that doesn't negate the fact that it was more freedom

Nothing run by gov’t is efficient or effective. Things that work most of the time (e.g. police, military...) do so *despite* being run by the gov’t. “Freedom” should never be used in the same sentence with “gov’t” unless preceeded by “limited” - you choose which word it preceeds.

fair q. I have one to, tho: don't the very same pple who decry government social programs as population control tools decry entitlements bc they don't depend on govt ideologically driven decisions?

Do you want a system where the ‘man’ is big business and some are corrupt and oppress people, but they can still be controlled by a limited government? Or, do you want a system where the ‘man’ is big government and once corrupt, can’t be controlled?
