In 1976, the Reds again managed to use just 13 pitchers while having only one guy start > 28 games, nobody complete more than 8. Sparky used 6 starting pitchers, worked his relievers hard for long outings.

Mark Frost’s “Game Six” is a great read if you’re interested in that 1975 lineup.

Posnanski's book was fantastic.

Reds starters were adequate but not spectacular: Nolan, Bellingham and Gullet. Helps to have 3 Hall of Fame position players and the all time hits leader on offense.
-
Also helps when you have an outstanding bullpen. Borbon, Carroll, Eastwick, and McEnany were outstanding. Team set record for most games in a row without a complete game. Season earned Sparky Anderson the nickname Captain Hook.

10 had 5+ wins, 4 had 5+ saves. That is a good staff.

Gary Nolan, the staff ace of a 108-win team, struck out 74 batters.

Sparky was actually called "Captain Hook" because he used so many relievers. He really started the bullpen madness we see today.
