Very bad take. Yes, Wizard of Oz deserves credit for being groundbreaking & influential in many ways. But it's also a definitive film version of a classic American novel (compare to the James Franco Oz film), endlessly quotable, visually stunning, memorable songs & performances.https://twitter.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1138897130901430280 …

I actually enjoyed the James Franco Oz movie, but I explained at the time why the original Wizard of Oz remains the greatest of all Hollywood films http://baseballcrank.com/archives2/2013/04/pop_culture_oz.php …

Since I mentioned the 2013 film Oz the Great and Powerful earlier: it made half a billion dollars worldwide & Disney announced they had James Franco & Mila Kunis signed on for a sequel. Six years later, has anything happened? If it has, I missed it.

Replying to @baseballcrank
How can Mila Kunis be evil? It just isn't happening. Franco was the bad guy.
