Van Halen’s dirty little not-so-secret: the majority of their albums have 2-3 really good songs and a lot of filler (exceptions: I, Fair Warning, 1984, 5150; negative exception [all bad]: III).

Reason for all the covers, instrumentals, & goofs like Happy Trails was the record company wanted an album to wrap around the "Pretty Woman" single. It was all thrown together in about 2 weeks.
