The debate over whether the Right should abandon the tenets of classical liberalism cannot be properly understood without the context of the decline of the remaining support for classical liberal ideals on the Left as liberals get crowded out by progressives.

I think the issue is whether you embrace the more authoritarian right as a means of changing the left’s risk calculus and encouraging them to be more liberal (classically understood) or because that’s what you really want. The former as a tactic I get, even if it’s not preferred.

The long term versus the short term argument cannot exclude one essential element - the education of the next generations. Evidence to date indicates that the knowledge of what classical liberal principles the U.S. was founded upon has disappeared from our educational system.

That portends a losing battle following the long term, civil approach. When Roe v. Wade was issued, the predictions of the degradation of our civilized norms regarding morality, human life and sexuality have come true. Do we just stand civilly by and watch the sequel?

So...to sum up, what’s currently happening to the American Right is all the Libs’ fault?

The right has consolidated Power purchased politicians, media and our courts. You continue in spite of evidence in front of you that this country is in a dire situation with national security. This is no longer an idealogical argument, you’ve lost all credibility. Boycott us

It's always, always projection with this "I'm conservative because I'm superior because I'm conservative" type. I'm old enough to remember Hannity's "Keurig Smash Challenge" and you can ask any prominent liberal if they're familiar with Right wing social media rage mobs.

According to game theory, those on the right should do the right thing 95% of the time and retaliate in kind 5% of the time. Just don't give away when you're going low before hand with the 5% bad reaction.
