My apologies. I didn’t mean “made something up” in terms of lying. I meant “made something up” in terms of needing to justify his actions by something other than Constitution or views on Garland. I don’t think precedent matters here.

Fair enough. I think it carries a lot of weight, especially among claims that this involved "stealing" a seat, denying Obama what prior presidents had been able to do, etc.
