After 22 years working in Manhattan, I can't imagine how anyone could live here. It would feel like sleeping in your business suit. There has to be a quieter place to go home to, and not be 'on' all day.

By contrast, I get what appeals to people about rural life, but it's really hard to adjust to it if you reach adulthood living in cities and/or suburbs. There's too much convenience to give up, & the isolation can be unnerving.
