Feel like his issuing statements about phony fraud claims and investigations and his efforts to actively suppress the vote were a bigger deal than his status as secretary of state. Especially given that lots of Sec. of States have run for office before without people complaining.

The argument that I see on a regular basis is literally "it's corrupt to oversee your own election," period.

She should definitely recuse herself from certifying an election in which she is a candidate. I'd be surprised if anyone disagreed with that.
