It’s just a really tricky situation. I’m virtually certain that if we could resurrect Hamilton, Madison, Washington, etc., they’d all say impeach the guy. But w/a Republican Senate it just seems counterproductive.

There is an element of principle here, but 1999 really drove home for me the extent to which this is, and must be, a pragmatic question as well. There's a reason "come at the king, don't worry about missing" is not a saying.

I've been checking in here at @destructionoftheconstitutionalorderwatch all day, expecting to see a scholarly analysis of Barr's flipping the bird to the separation of powers with a claim of executive privilege that seems laughably broad. Still nothing.
