I agree that there is a high moral cost to Trump, and doubly so among those people who have foolishly embraced him rather than just agreed to coexist with him. None of that, however, changes the fundamental orientation of each party on policy. None of it excuses the Democrats.https://twitter.com/HeathMayo/status/1125824271337558016 …

Assumes also Democrats quietly go home after Trump leaves instead of moving heaven & earth to aggrandize their own power & cement their indefinite tenure

After the sheer amount of blatant corruption among DNC establishment even most Democrats I know don't believe in their party. By contrast the RNC doesn't really work on morality, it works on pragmatism and everyone actively disagrees with each other.

The greater assumption was your’s, that Republicans who have shown themselves to be immoral can at least be counted on to implement policy. How’s that National Debt coming along anyhow?

Or free trade, or small government, or humane immigration policy, or good stewardship, or anything that conservatism once stood for other than abortion, guns, and racism.

Your assumption seems to be that Jesus would have clearly defined public policy preferences and would urge His followers to vote accordingly. That is . . . . dubious.

Start from the Constitution, save that, argue about policy another day.

As you know, no path to saving the Constitution can run through the Democrats. We get fresh, vivid evidence of this daily, as we have for decades.
