Are there any great pitchers that basically thrive on the same pitches at the end of their careers as in their (younger) prime? I'd think that to be a great, you almost have to develop a whole new approach sometime in your 30s.

Ryan, Mariano, knucklers, some sinkers. Carlton with the slider, Glavine with the change. But a lot of guys have to adjust.
