Area man's job as an anti-Trump conservative talking head ends when he reveals that his anti-Trump bonafides were a fraud. Is somehow shocked. https://twitter.com/EWErickson/status/1123972322703106050 …

So, we agree that if you have ever changed position on anything, your prior position was a fraud? Your standard.

When I change position it's because my facts and values change. EE is admitting that he is making a deal with the devil because, hey, got some judges and legislation.

Wake me when you have ever taken a stance in public that costs you a fraction of what Erick's stance on Trump in 2016 has cost him. But I get it: it's OK when you do it. You're being transparently insincere here.

I don't care what his stance has cost him. I am talking about the utter bankruptcy of his 2016 stand and how easily he was bought off of it. The anti-Trump stuff from that gang was 100% about assuming Hillary was gonna win and wanting to land well. That changed, so does the stand

Please let me know what about Trump's character, integrity, values, etc. that you and the Never Trumpers thought was disqualifying in 2016 has changed. Difficulty: try to do it without saying "well, the Dems are worse."

To pick an example, who did you expect in 2016 to be more influential in the Trump Admin: Steve Bannon, or Mike Pence? Which of the two is more influential today? If you, or I, have re-evaluated that, it may not change our bottom line, but it changes something.

I find it difficult to square the past three years of conservative pushback on the notion that the GOP is now the party of Trump with the idea that all Never Trumpism was about were worries about Trump's effectiveness to advance the conservative agenda.

"If it wasn't 100% it had to be 0%," he said, ignoring how people work. You made assertions without a basis. I have offered some specifics. You ignore them, double down on the idea that you know other people's motives better than they do. C'mon, you're better than that.
