Keep expecting Jesus Aguilar to go on the DL with something like "he was actually eaten by dingos six months ago."

Fangraphs may be skeptical, but what's interesting about Jesus Aguilar's struggles so far is that his K, BB, line drive, popup, & ground/fly rates are all in line with last year. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/guessing-the-fate-of-april-underachievers-hitters/ …pic.twitter.com/HalyxegHsx

So...about Jesus Aguilar's numbers suggesting a guy who was in a deep slump rather than a guy who was suddenly washed up...

Aguilar's only homered in 2 of his 6 MLB seasons?

He only went to the plate 64 times over his first three cups of coffee.

If a 29 year old slugger hit .123 for 85 PA in July, nobody would think he was finished.

85 PA is getting to be a long cold streak. I'd be looking at all available info to see if something's wrong, but you're quite right that in the second half of the season many people wouldn't notice.

It is indeed a long cold streak. My point earlier today was that the rest of his indicators showed a guy who was doing the same as always in terms of BB, K, line drives, etc.
