What was your first car? 1st I drove (early 90s): my dad's 1977 red Chevy Caprice Classic, which he bought used from a friend's grandmother. 1st owned: new green 1996 Mercury Mystique, which my wife & I bought when starting my job (for $0 down, which was all the money I had).

That 69 Chevelle Malibu with convertible top occupied a special place in my 16 yo heart. Had to settle for the canary yellow 74 Nova my Dad thought was more "practical".

My dad had a 76 Malibu. The body was crap, but the 8 cylinder engine was still chugging after 250,000 miles, mostly hard NYC commuting miles, when we last saw it.
